Ms. Kari Wayne

Hi Families! My name is Kari Wayne and I'm excited for the 2023-2024 school year here at CES.  I live in Olds but have been teaching in Carstairs for the last 9 years. I've taught many grades in my short career so far and I feel like that helps me understand where kids are coming from academically and where they need to go in the future.  My strongest beliefs about teaching rest in the importance of community and belonging in a safe space where we root for ourselves and each other. With an emphasis on kindness, respect, and acceptance we can all be better citizens of every community we are part of - family, classroom, school, and beyond.  I'm looking forward to an excellent year with these Grade 3's and 4's!
